The incorporation of Agarwal Coal Corporation as a proprietorship
firm on 23rd July, 1974. The company advances from coal transportation into coal trading.
1993-94
Coal is put under Open General License.
1997
Agarwal imports its first vessel of Indonesian coal at Magdalla Port in Surat.
2000
The company becomes a Private Limited entity - Agarwal Coal Corporation Pvt. Ltd.
2005
Agarwal establishes its first international subsidiary in Singapore.
2005
Agarwal starts trading in South African coal from the Port of Kandla.
2010
Agarwal achieves 5 million tonnes in volume of imported coal.
2016
Mjunction recognises and presents Agarwal with an award for the Highest Indian Coal Trade in 2016.
2017
Agarwal achieves 10 million tonnes in volume of imported coal.
2017-18
Agarwal wins an Award for Excellence in Traffic Performance 2017-18 for importing the highest volume of Coal and Coke as Consignee in Navlakhi port.
2018-19
Agarwal wins an Award for Excellence in Traffic Performance 2018-19 for importing the highest volume of Coal and Coke as Consignee in Tuticorin port.
2019
The Honourable Chief Minister of MP, Shri Kamal Nath awards Agarwal Coal Corporation Pvt. Ltd. with the “Best Services Company with Revenue greater than 2500 crore” in Bhopal on 16th October, 2019.
2019-20
Agarwal wins an Award for Excellence in Traffic Performance 2019-20 for importing the highest volume of Coal and Coke as Consignee in Tuticorin port.
2020
Agarwal achieves 15 million tonnes in volume of imported coal.
